He’s an artist, an artistic activist, a traveler, a daydreamer, an international man of mystery. Well, scratch that last part, he’s not so mysterious after all. He’s Nick Ramos, and he generally wears his heart on his sleeve. With heart and soul at the forefront, his art tends to be his means to put more love into the world.

A daily doodler, Nick’s ideas transform into artwork in digital formats, but more often, in good old-fashioned, delicious print – which, fun fact, you can buy here in his online shop. Some of it is cute and cuddly, while other pieces reveal that cute can also be strong and thought-provoking. As a lover of puns, wordplay usually finds its way into his art too.

Conceiving ideas while sketching, his imagination has also created conceptual art exhibits and concepts too. He invited American artists to bring more attention (and raise funds) to help refugees (see Build Hope, Not Walls). His forthcoming concept, The Mailbox Project, will involve art and people sending messages of love throughout the world.

Nick Ramos is from Brazil-Boston-Chicago-Texas; he sings 80s classics with abandon, even if not necessarily anywhere near perfect pitch; loves to share laughter over coffee and a meal; and thinks we all need more love and art in our lives.

    Bird In The Hand

22" x 28" print. Actual image is 18" x 24" with a 2" border all around. Giclée print on archival watercolor paper. All prints are signed and numbered. Each print also includes a certificate of authenticity. Edition Size: 200 This print is inspired by the American popular saying: " A bird in hand is worth two in the bush". In Brazil, we say: "The worth of a bird in your hand, is higher than the worth of two birds flying". To me, personally, it eludes to the idea that we are not always able to see nor appreciate what we have within our reach. This piece is about gratitude and seeing the beauty in our lives.
